COIDA Compensation: While workers who are injured on duty or who develop an occupational disease can claim for compensation from the Workers Compensation Fund, should a worker die as a result of an injury on duty, their dependents will also be entitled to compensation.
Registration Timeframe: As an employer, you must register with the Commissioner within seven days after the day on which you employed your first employee.
Annual Fees: An annual assessment fee is due to the Compensation Fund and only if your fees are up-to-date, will you be eligible to request and obtain your Letter of Good Standing. The assessment fee is based on your employees earning and the risks associated with the type of work or profession.
