If you are wanting to apply for tenders or contracts, your will need a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund as proof that your fees are up to date and that your workers are protected in the event of injury, disease, disablement or death.

RENEWALS! DO YOU NEED TO RENEW YOUR LETTER OF GOOD STANDING?
If you already have a COIDA Registration Number and a Letter of Good Standing with the Compensation Fund, you will need to renew the Letter of Good Standing before the 30th of April every year. This date applies to all companies and does not relate to the anniversary date on when you originally applied for the COIDA Registration Number and Letter of Good Standing.

COIDA Compensation: While workers who are injured on duty or who obtain an occupational disease claim can claim for compensation from the Workers Compensation Fund, should a worker die as a result of an injury on duty, their dependents will also be entitled to compensation.
Registration Timeframe: As an employer, you must register with the Commissioner within seven days after the day on which you employed your first employee.
Annual Fees: An annual assessment fee is due to the Compensation Fund and only if your fees are up to date, will you be eligible to request and obtain your Letter of Good Standing. The assessment fee is based on your employees earning and the risks associated with the type of work or profession.
