Although appointing a new director to your CC or (Pty) Ltd. or changing the details of an existing Director is effective as soon as your Board of Directors minutes the change, you’ll need to notify the CIPC of these changes so that your company details stay up-to-date, ready for you to carry on doing business.
Once any change to your Director details or Board of Directors has been submitted to the CIPC, it will take a few weeks for this change to be fully registered. While the process of changing Director details is fairly simple, it requires numerous documents to be submitted to CIPC along with follow-ups to ensure that new details have been captured correctly.
